November 15 Ministry Update:
Good Afternoon Mountain View Family,
The Elder Board had to make the difficult decision to not have in-person services this week at Mountain View Bible Church. Even after a thorough cleaning, disinfecting and fogging of the air, we feel it is the best move for us as a church family to take two weeks to allow things to settle. We will be back in person for the November 29 Worship Service.
Thankfully, we have some things already in place to allow us to broadcast our service. We will be doing a livestream of the service for this Sunday at 9:00am through our youtube channel at youtube.com/channel/UC5rWkwZ-Blj-ESzCXlrJl7Q.
We are so thankful for our church family and all of the prayers and support for one another. We are praying for you all and the many burdens throughout our congregation. Hope you plan to join us online in the morning, and please reach out to someone with a call or text this week.

May 27th Ministry Update:
As of May 1st, Idaho is allowing churches to reopen if they adhere to "strict physical distancing, sanitation protocol and any CDC guidance”. Now that our leadership team has been able to investigate the criteria and formulate our plan, we are excited to announce the reopening in person church services!
That being said, I know that there will be a number of individuals who are not ready or able to begin coming back to services due to health risks. We will be continuing to broadcast our services live at 9:00am through our facebook page at facebook.com/mtnvbc and here on our website in the resources tab. We can also mail DVDs of the worship service upon request.

A few things to keep in mind for worship service:
  • If you are in a high-risk category, or have someone in your household who is at high-risk, we encourage you to continue to watch from home for now.
  • We are required to keep a distance of 6 feet between household groups, so we will be closing off some of our seating in the auditorium and providing overflow seating in the multipurpose room, where the service will be on a large screen. Ushers will be at the entryway and at the seating areas to help with the new seating arrangements.
  • Seating everyone may take additional time, so plan to arrive early if possible.
  • We know that many will be eager to talk and connect with friends following the morning service. We encourage you to connect with friends in the parking lot and front lawn to allow the space limitations and avoid congestion points in the church.
  • Please wash your hands or use hand sanitizer right before you enter the church building.
  • We won’t be passing an offering basket; instead, we will have an offering box.
  • Doors will be propped open at the beginning and end of the service to minimize touch points.
  • We will only be having the Morning Worship Service at 9:00am. There will be no Sunday School, Coffee Time, Nursery or Children’s Church for the time being.
Other ministries at Mountain View Bible Church will continue on a limited basis as follows:
  • Youth Group, Young Adult Group and Men’s Bible Study will be meeting at the church adhering to social distancing, sanitation protocol and CDC guidance.
  • Some Sunday School Classes are meeting via virtual platforms. (Visit the Contacts page to get connected or to ask for more details).
UPDATE - July 25th
Since learning of the Panhandle Health mandate of face masks in Kootenai County we have been able to examine their documentation to see what it means for our context. There are a couple limitations of the mandate that we should mention upfront ...
  1. The mandate does not apply to public places were 6 feet of distance between family groups is able to be maintained.
  2. It does not apply to those with medical conditions that keep them from being able to wear face masks.
With those two exclusions in mind, we are asking our church family to wear face masks before the start and after the end of our morning service unless you have a medical condition that keeps you from wearing a mask. This allows us to follow the instructions, and not have to wear face masks throughout the service.

Welcome
Our name
"Mountain View Bible Church"
defines who we are ...
Mountain View -- simply refers to our location here in beautiful Post Falls, Idaho.

Bible -- refers to our teaching.  The Bible is important to us.  We believe it to be the literal, inerrant Word of God, in which He not only reveals Himself to us, but also reveals His wonderful plan for man's life and destiny.  Believing this, we see the infinite value in teaching it, preaching it, and committing ourselves to live by its precepts.

Church -- speaks of our nature -- we are a family of believers.  Our fellowship and unity are important to us.  Every person who worships with us is of great value to God and to us.

If you don't already have a church home, we extend to you an invitation to join our church family.  We would be delighted to have you worship with us.  You will find a warm welcome and sound Bible teaching.
